Moonbeam Blooms

Rooted in the Rhythm of the Land

small-scale organic flower farm in the Cane Creek Valley, just south of Asheville, NC

About the Farm

Slowing down and participating in nature's rhythms

I am honored to be stewarding 2 acres of land in the Cane Creek Valley. We are tucked along the French Broad River watershed just 15 minutes south of downtown Asheville, NC on Tsalaguwetiyi land.

Tending to this land the past 6 years has transformed my relationship with the earth. Slowing down and participating in nature's rhythms I have collected gems of wisdom from deeply listening and learning from what Mother Earth can teach.

Through a mix of hands-on education from an array of brilliant educators, and my own real world trial and error learning as I go, I began cultivating better practices of land stewardship to foster a reciprocal relationship to the land instead of an extractive one.

This listening has helped hone my regenerative agricultural practices by reducing soil disturbance, utilizing cover crops, increasing native diversity, eliminating synthetic inputs, and water management that lowers irrigation needs and increases drought resistance with bioswales and collected rain water. I'm always searching for ways to continue to reduce the footprint and feed the soil and the ecosystem in return for all of the abundance it provides.
